Packing The Perfect Picnic

A picnic in the park or along the water can be the ideal way to spend a summer day. It can be the centerpiece of a romantic date or nourishment for a family that's out canoeing or hiking. But sometimes you can spend a lot of time preparing things for your picnic and when it comes time to eat items just don't work for the location or foods fall apart. Here are some tips for creating the perfect picnic that will suit a day in the woods outside of Brantford real estate or an afternoon in Hyde Park.

Try to choose your picnic spot in advance. If you usually spend the weekends away from your home at 10 Avoca Avenue hiking the same trails you likely know of a good place. If you are headed to somewhere new, see if you can find a map of the park or trails before you go. Most public parks have designated areas meant for picnics with tables or a cleaned flat space. Knowing what sort of picnic spot you're dealing with will help you organize what foods will be best and how much everyone can carry along the way.

There are many food items that are great for a trip to the cottage but don't work so well for a picnic. You need to think about all of the different utensils you're going to need to pack to eat the food you prepare as well as the dishes themselves. Finger foods are usually a better choice than salads, cakes or ice cream. You should also focus away from items that attract wasps and other bugs. If you love to bake in your real estate in London you might want to bring cookies with you on the picnic instead of squares or a pie. Cookies let out less of that sugar smell into the air and attract less unwanted guests.

Make sure that you pack everything carefully and that everyone has a reasonable load. If you're out for a hike with the family and have prepared some lunch for along the way you want to make sure that no one's being weighted down by too much stuff as they are walking. If instead you're just heading to a park a few blocks away from your Tip Top loft you might be willing to carry a little more.

Think green when you're planning your picnic. Instead of using plastic utensils and paper plates you can find reusable dishes that will not be too heavy to transport. Everyone is starting to be more conscious of their carbon footprint in their Ajax real estate to Vancouver condo and you want to make sure that you're taking those practices with you when going out anywhere.
